Make Time Will Launder

It's amazing how much laundry one can get done when a self imposed computer ban is in effect! Seriously, I wiped out our ginormous laundry pile yesteray and finished all 47 loads. Well, that may be exaggerating a bit, but it sure seemed like that many loads.

See...I have to walk right by my computer desk to go to the laundry room. More often than not, I will put a load of laundry in and then stop by my computer on the way back to just "check my email." Checking my emails turns into checking a few of my favorite blogs...which leads to tweaking my own get the idea. Before I know it, it's been 2 hours since that load I put in the washer is finished.

I guess this is where I should just stand up and admit it.... my name is Shane and I AM addicted to the Internet! There, I said it, happy now? I'm certain that my house was much cleaner and my laundry was always done nine years ago. Nine years? Yes, it's been that long ago that I first got Internet access. I didn't even care back ten that it was dial up and slow as molasses in the winter time. It was new, it was fun and it was awesome. Of course with time and technology, the awesome-ness has only improved.

That's why I had to impose a computer ban yesterday. (Well, that and I was actually beginning to type html in my sleep!) I just knew it was the only way I'd get something laundry done. It was tough, but I succeeded. Now, back to surfing and blogging as usual!

I, too, am an internet addict!! I have had too much guilt about it this summer. I'm doing well at posting late at night while the kids are either in bed or otherwise occupied.

It's AMAZING what all you can fit in those never used trundle beds! You can't see it in the picture, but he has his snowboard in there, too. It's in a bag, so there's also the boots, gloves, goggles, etc. It's the perfect place for it since it only gets used a few months a year.
