Upward Basketball Banquet

Last night we attended the boys Upward basketball banquet. It's always such a nice evening. Nicely decorated, scrumptious spaghetti, a magician, and then the awards. The boys look forward to it and dread it at the same time. They always hate to see the season come to an end. Basketball is really the only sport Bubby is interested in so he has to wait another year to play. Tater, on the other hand, will start soccer in a few weeks. Each player was presented with a really nice Upward duffel bag. Of course for the third year in a row mommy and daddy provided trophies for our boys. Hubby says I'm spoiling them, but what kid doesn't want a trophy at the end of the season? We took them out to Chili's after the banquet to get their favorite dessert (molten chocolate cake). Hubby had them go wash up before eating and when they returned their trophies were on the table waiting for them. They were happy, we were happy, it was a good night.
